The State Elephant of Karauli: the photographs - II

This is a superb stereoview that my friend Bill shared with me. It's, as usual, very detailed. The elephants have got to the end of Chandni Chowk, to the curve where Futtehpoorie Musjid is, and turning to ahmai pai. They will walk about a block there to turn left into Queen's road again, towards the west to leave the city through Kabul Gate.

In the photo you can see Datia elephant beside Karauli, just on the lower left, only the howda can be seen. After those, Jaisalmer and Dhar. Alwar, with the maharaja standing and looking back (this mahout is also turned and looking at him). Beside, Dewas Senior, with the boy sitting beside the British officer. Behind both Tonk, and Dewas Junior.

Even if you can see only the howda of the elephant of Karauli here, it gave me a lot of detail.

I could work on the handwork of the howda from this picture. It is shown perfectly. Also, the detail of the usual cloth hanging from the side of the elephant can be appreciated. Even the smallest photo is useful for me
