2 - Jodhpur

12 Caparisoned horses
12 Footmen in mail armour

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the Jodhpur group. Not identified as such at least. The only set we made from this state was the palanquin, which was based on a photograph that an old customer took at the Jodhpur museum many years ago, where they have a few palanquins in exhibition. It was previous to 1903 so it can be assumed that it was brought for the Durbar, but I don't have proof of that.

Beau Geste set 192, the palanquin from Jodhpur (retired)

I was contacted by the curator of that Museum a couple of months ago. She wanted to know if I had any photographs of the palanquin and the maharani to exhibit by the palanquin itself. I knew I didn't, but I went through all the photos I have, and I found these:

It looks like the same palanquin. It is within the Indore state group, photographed while they were waiting fro their turn in the fields around the amphitheatre. But as they were all mixed up in the fields it could be the same palanquin. The program shows that Indore had 2 palkis in their group though, so it might be one of theirs. I don't know. It's something else to research and solve.
